EducationUniversity of Florida - Bachelor of Science, Chemical Engineering
ExperienceI attended the University of Florida where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. I tutor a wide array of subjects, including math courses ranging from elementary math to calculus III. I also enjoy helping students prepare for standardized tests, such as the SAT and ACT. My goal as a tutor is to help students build the confidence they need in the subjects we are working on so they can excel as independent students when our lessons are done. I listen to my students and watch closely to determine what their weaknesses are in a subject, and then we work to correct them. I like to build a rapport with every student and teach using the method that works best for them. I am very patient, empathetic, and easy going. I encourage students to ask as many questions as needed during our lessons, and I also ask them questions to ensure they are truly learning. I enjoy encouraging students to find the answers to questions on their own, and when they realize that they really can solve a problem using their own logic, it helps them build their confidence and they experience a sense of great accomplishment. Students I have tutored have always improved in the classroom as a result of our hard work.
