I have 8 years of tutoring experience, including high school and college work. I am fluent in English and Spanish and have tutored in both languages. My SAT and ACT scores were in the top 10% of the nation and I was awarded the Merit Scholar and Hispanic Merit Scholar awards for my rank. In high school, I took 14 AP tests and passed each one, so I have plenty of experience studying and preparing for them. I love working with others and seeing that look of satisfaction on my student's face when they discover that they have learned a concept. From the beginner piano lessons I have taught to English tutoring and instruction for native Spanish speakers, I enjoying helping in any and all ways. Every subject I have listed in my profile I have taken university-level courses in. Originally started off as a toxicology and pre-pharmacy student and changing to focus on neuroscience research with some training in music education and composition to assist me in my goals of carrying out medical music therapy research, I have a broad range of expertise and experience. Name a natural, physical, or social science course, and I have probably taken it. Behavioral psychology, physical chemistry, anatomy and physiology, psychophysiology, analytical chemistry, microbioloy, etc. I'm sure you'll see I can help you no matter what your needs are. Along with my academic coursework, I also have extensive research experience, having written several papers for a variety of formats. I'm currently awaiting approval for publication of my work into science journals. My writing also extends to less science related fields, too. I have written poetry, prose, and music for competitions and private client use.

Hobbies
I enjoy reading and writing in my spare time. My favorite authors are in the genres of Postmodernism (such as Albert Camus) and Realismo Magico, or Magical Realism (such as Borges). I'm starting up a science blog to talk about my research in music neuroscience. I also play the violin, piano, and guitar and love playing and performing, with my current endeavors involving playing in church services and local symphonies. Some of the original work I have composed has been used for student films and the like. On my down time, I enjoy watching foreign-language cinema and literature. My ultimate goal is to get a PhD in Neuroscience and become a university research professor.
